First Floor – Say hello to natural disasters.
Enter a booth that simulates a 5.3 earthquake. Sit in a restaurant during a hurricane. Experience the frigid water from the Titanic. We each timed how long we can place our hands in the 28-degree water. Burr!
Segundo piso – Electricity anyone?
The Bubble Lab transported you back to your childhood. The family dog would have paid admission to be a part of that exhibit. We made gigantic bubbles and ran like the wind.
After moving away from the Bubble Lab exhibit, we burst our bubbles on the bed of nails. It was a wee bit uncomfortable, but not deadly.
Then, there was the wonder wall where we left imprints of our face, legs, arms, and then our whole body. We then checked out our body imprints on the lit back wall in light projected pegs.
The thermography screen displayed the temperature of the surface of your skin. Most of us had cold noses. After that, we shot some hoops and played in the arcade.
If the kids get hungry, the café has pizza, candy, and snacks.
Third Floor – Let’s go to space..
The Space Discovery simulates astronaut training. The kids took the Mercury Capsule for a spin. It spins you like a centrifuge. The spinning was great for the kids, but we passed — no need to traumatize them.
Laser tag was fun. Sin embargo, the glow in the dark ropes course that completely covers the ceiling was the hit in our group.
Quick Tip: If you plan to do the ropes course, be sure to wear shorts or pants. También, wear sneakers, no flip flops. The obstacle course is on the ceiling. If heights scare you, it may be a little challenging.
The 4-D roller coaster felt real and was a nice surprise. Laser Tag was a good way to let out any left over pent up energy.
WonderWorks Orlando – Things to consider…
The WonderWorks Orlando experience is worth going to once. The second time may be a little less thrilling since the exhibits don’t change very often.
Before buying your tickets, check-out Groupon to get a discount on the tickets. Be prepared to spend at least 4-5 hours to be able to enjoy all the exhibits.
Make sure to smile when you first enter the moving tunnel. It’s very unique and a nice souvenir.
We didn’t have enough time to go to the comedy/magic show. When you buy the ticket, you’ll find your meal offers unlimited pizza, salad, cerveza & wine.
Our next adventure!
Since the ropes course in WonderWorks Orlando was very popular, our next trip will be to Orlando Tree Trek. We look forward to swinging from tree to tree.
