What is Villa By The Castle?

Villa By The Castle is a top-rated 6-bedroom, 4-bathroom villa in the gated Windsor Hills resort, less than 2 miles from Disney. Il’s about 2,812 square feet, sleeps up to 14 guests, and features a private south-west-facing saltwater pool and spillover spa with complimentary heat, un salle de jeux, and full access to the Windsor Hills resort équipements. What should our overall expectations be?

A comfortable, private home with a fully equipped kitchen, multiple living areas, 4 salles de bains, an HD TV in every bedroom, a game room, and a private pool and spa. The villa is owner-operated, so you deal directly with us from your first question through checkout.

Where is the villa located?

Villa By The Castle is in the gated Windsor Hills resort, in the Disney area of Orlando. The exact address is provided at check-in.

How far is the villa from Disney?

Less than 2 miles from Disney, about 5 minutes away. Windsor Hills is one of the closest resort communities to Walt Disney World. Disney’s Animal Kingdom entrance is about 4.4 miles via Sherberth Road.

How far is the villa from Universal and other attractions?

Universal Studios is about 15.6 miles, SeaWorld about 11 miles, and Legoland about 32 miles from the villa.

How far is the villa from the airport?

Villa By The Castle is 23.6 miles (about half an hour) from Orlando International Airport (MCO) and 48.5 miles from Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB).

How far are the beaches?

The East Coast beaches (Cocoa Beach, near Kennedy Space Center) and the West Coast beach (Clearwater Beach) are both about an hour’s drive from the villa

Do we need a car during our stay?

A car is the easiest way to get around, and most guests either rent one or use rideshare like Uber and Lyft. Note that Windsor Hills does not offer a shuttle to the parks, so plan on a rental car or rideshare for getting to Disney and the other attractions.

Is the pool a saltwater pool, and is there a spa?

Oui. Il’s a saltwater pool with a spillover spa, and the spa is upgraded with a blower for strong jets. The pool deck is screened and enclosed with lush privacy hedges around it.

Is pool and spa heat included?

Oui, pool and spa heat are complimentary year round. The pool is set to 88 degrees and the spa to 104 degrees, and the control panel is open for you to adjust to your preference. The heater was recently upgraded to a whisper-quiet model that keeps the pool and spa warm even when the air temperature drops below 55 degrees.

How deep is the pool, and is it safe for kids?

The pool is 5 feet at its deepest and 3 feet at the shallowest, and there is a child safety fence around it.

Which way does the pool face?

The pool is south-west-facing, with sun from about 10:30 to 11 a.m. until sunset.

Quoi’s in the outdoor area?

A private screened pool with spillover spa, pool toys including a poolside basketball hoop, cabana pool towels, an outdoor dining table that seats 8, and lush green privacy hedges around the enclosure.

Is there a BBQ grill?

Oui, a complimentary four-burner propane gas grill with grill tools, on the lanai by the pool. Propane is included at no charge, along with an extra propane tank. Many area homes charge extra for a grill and propane; here they’re included.

How many bedrooms are there, and how many does the villa sleep?

There are 6 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 guests: 4 US King (UK Super King) lits, 2 sets of twins, and 2 single Cortesi beds.

What are the bed configurations?

The two kids’ rooms (Mickey and Flower) each have two twin beds and a single Cortesi bed. The primary bedroom has a four-poster King with an en-suite bath. Il’s another King en-suite on the second floor, a third King bedroom with a bright shared bath, and a King bedroom with guest bath on the first floor. All King beds are US Kings (UK Super King).

Is there a stair-free bedroom for grandparents?

Oui. A King bedroom with guest bath on the first floor offers stair-free access, ideal for grandparents or guests with mobility challenges (note: not wheelchair accessible).

Bathrooms

How many bathrooms are there?

There are 4 bathrooms. The first floor has 1 bathroom with a shower/bathtub combo. Upstairs there are 3: the primary has a shower, separate soaking tub, Lavabos doubles, and a private water closet; the King en-suite has a shower; and the shared bathroom has a shower/tub combo, private water closet, and double sinks.

Cuisine & Dining

Quoi’s in the kitchen?

A fully equipped eat-in kitchen with a French-door smart refrigerator (ice maker, freezer drawer, external water dispenser). Vous’ll also find:

• • Two 12-cup coffee makers with permanent filters, a Keurig, and an electric tea kettle
  • A rice cooker and steamer, a crock pot, a blender, and an electric mixer
  • A waffle maker, a popcorn maker, and a milkshake maker
  • 16 place settings, steak knives, and full cookware
  • A Bosch dishwasher

The laundry room has a large-capacity front-load washer and dryer with an iron and ironing board

How much seating is there for meals?

A counter-height kitchen table seats 4 and expands to 6, a breakfast bar seats 2, the dining table expands to seat 10, and the outdoor dining table on the lanai seats 8.

Are dish and laundry pods and basic supplies provided?

Oui, dishwasher and laundry pods, kitchen soap, and trash bags are provided, along with a starter pack of paper towels, bathroom soap, and toilet paper. The villa is self-catering, so plan to replenish these once the starter packs run out. Small consumables like coffee, sucre, crème, and spices are not provided.

What TVs and gaming are available?

A 70-inch 3D LED HD TV with surround sound and an Xbox One in the great room, a 55-inch LED TV in the living room, and 32- or 40-inch LED TVs in every bedroom, all with HD cable. Board games are in the dining room buffet.

Quoi’s in the game room?

A game room with an 8-foot pool table, Foosball, hockey sur air, a dartboard, a Ms. Pac-Man arcade, and a corn-hole game.

Baby & Kid Gear

Is baby and kid gear provided?

Oui, plenty, at no extra charge. There are 2 exersaucers and a baby rollercoaster table in the game room. The laundry room has a high chair, une poussette légère, two pack-n-plays, a baby tub, une poussette de jogging, and a booster seat. The Green bedroom walk-in closet has 2 cribs, baby blankets and sheets, a baby gate, and a baby monitor, and bed rails are in the Mickey and Flower bedroom closets. Many Windsor Hills rentals charge extra for baby gear; here it’s included.

Is the villa suitable for young children?

Absolument. Lots of families stay at the villa, and with the free baby gear, the child safety pool fence, and the kids’ themed rooms, Il’s set up for little ones.

Is there fast WiFi?

Oui, super-fast 500 Mbps fiber internet throughout the villa.

Check-in & Check-out

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 4 p.m. and check-out is before 10 a.m. These windows let us make sure everything is in good working order before you arrive. If no guest is arriving or departing the same day, Nous’re happy to try to arrange an alternate time, just ask ahead.

How do we check in and out?

The villa has keyless entry, so there are no keys to coordinate. Nous’ll send a check-in message about a week before arrival with your unique entry code and all the details. At check-out, just lock the windows and doors and take your belongings with you.

Do we need to bring our own sheets and towels?

No. All bed linens and towels are provided: bed sheets, pillows and cases, serviettes de piscine, bath and hand towels, débarbouillettes, bath mats, and kitchen towels.

Is the villa cleaned during our stay?

The villa is cleaned before arrival and after departure. A mid-stay cleaning is available for an additional charge and includes washing all sheets and towels, cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping, and refreshing the starter paper products.

Gate Access, parking & Deliveries

What are the gate access rules for Windsor Hills?

Windsor Hills has very strict gate access. All guests, and any Uber, car service, or visitors, must be pre-registered at the gate before arrival, or they’ll be turned away.

How many cars are allowed, and where do we park?

The Windsor Hills HOA allows a maximum of 3 cars per reservation. Up to 2 cars fit in the driveway without blocking the sidewalk, and additional cars can park at the Clubhouse, about a 3-minute walk from the villa.

Can we get grocery and food deliveries?

Oui, food and grocery deliveries are allowed. Have the delivery go to the Main Gate at 2600 N Old Lake Wilson Rd, which is staffed 24/7. Trash goes in the bench right outside the front door, and the valet trash service picks it up every morning.

Services a Windsor Hills Resort

What resort amenities do guests get access to?

As a guest you have access to all Windsor Hills community amenities (for residents and guests only, not open to the public): basket-ball, tennis, and beach volleyball courts, a putting green, the community pool, a water park, an arcade, a gym and fitness center, a movie theater, and ping pong.

Where are the amenities, and how far are they?

The basketball, tennis, and beach volleyball courts and putting green are together next to the overflow parking, about a 7-minute walk from the villa. The slides, community pool, water park, arcade, salle de gym, salle de cinéma, and ping pong are at the clubhouse by the main entrance, about a 3-minute walk from the villa. The community pool is heated. Vous’re welcome to use the clubhouse and resort pool even before check-in; stop by the Welcome Center first for wristbands.

Can we rent equipment for the courts and activities?

Oui, at the admin office, (407) 787-4255. Sample rates: volleyball $10 / 3 hours, tennis $20 / 3 hours, basketball $10 / 3 hours, putters and balls $20 / 3 hours, ping pong $10 / hour.

Is there golf nearby, and is there a discount?

Where’s the closest playground?

The Castle playground is on the corner of Teascone and Dinville, right around the corner, about a 2-minute walk.

House Rules

Is smoking allowed?

The villa is non-smoking. Smoking cigarettes is allowed outside only, in the front of the house or by the pool, never inside. Hookahs are not permitted anywhere on the premises, including the lanai, pool deck, and driveway, and no candles or open flames.

Are pets allowed?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a limited basis (dogs only, no cats or other pets) and must be approved in advance before being added to the reservation. A $120 fee per dog applies.

Is confetti or glitter allowed?

No. To avoid cleaning charges and protect the environment, please don’t use confetti or glitter inside or outside the villa.

How many people can stay, and what’s the minimum age to book?

Do we need to clean before we leave?

No deep cleaning needed, just leave the home neat and tidy: no unclean dishes left out, all trash bagged and placed in the bin outside the front door or the community dumpster, lights off, and doors locked. It takes 4 to 6 hours to prepare the villa for the next guest, so leaving on time matters.

What fees should we expect?

The cleaning fee is $225, and prices include all fees, so there are no hidden charges. An approved dog is $120 per pet.

Do you offer any discounts?

Oui, a 5% discount on the rental amount for military, veterans, first responders, and teachers with proof of service.

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Oui, travel insurance is recommended to cover unexpected medical issues, work changes, natural disasters, pandemics, or travel delays.
